Please Help the Yosemite Kittens!

While a fellow rescuer was doing TNR locally, a neighbor mentioned there were kittens in an old boat that’s in storage. We got there within 24 hours to see whether mom was there with them.

With no mom in sight we called on volunteer Hector to see if he’d be willing to go onto the boat to rescue them. He did not hesitate and came right away. He rescued three TINY black kittens, approximately 4 weeks old!

They were cold, shaking, a little hissy, and vocal! One had discolored stool seeping out of his rectum. Within 10 hours, little Yosemite Sam was crashing and needed to be admitted to the 24-hour veterinary center.

He is not out of the woods yet! His two brothers were taken to the vet the next day and we are trying to keep them hydrated and prevent infections!

We don’t know how long they were in the boat or how long their momma has been gone. We are thankful to all involved for saving them and we are asking for donations to help us pay for this current medical bill.

It's estimated to be close to $3,000!
