Paulie

I lost one of my two cats to cancer last January after 18 wonderful years. To me, the best way to honor a beloved pet’s memory is to provide another cat the same opportunity to experience the joy of a good home. So, in August, I contacted Forgotten Felines to inquire about getting another cat. It wanted it to be an FIV positive like my other kitty. Ann steered me toward Paulie, who at the time was living at the Peekskill Animal Hospital.

Paulie was a stray who was being fed outside by some kind people; however, after he contracted a severe eye infection, they took him to the Animal Hospital. Paulie, named after the vet who fixed him, quickly won over the staff with his warmth and friendliness. Sadly, he lost his eye but it doesn’t stop him and gives him somewhat of a rakish look! My other female cat loves him and they both get plenty of exercise racing around the house. Everyone who meets him is charmed by his sweet disposition. ~Diane
